Ipswich was the only authority in Suffolk to see local elections in 2024, with Labour making significant gains to increase their majority control of the Council.

Ipswich

Labour increased its majority significantly by 11 seats, gaining three councillors at the expense of the Conservatives and two at the expense of Independents. Ipswich has seen a Labour council for the majority of its history, and the Conservatives have not held a majority there since Labour last took control in 2011.
